Renovation Nightmare

Way back in May of this year, Larry had a small leak under his sink. This leak led to involving the insurance company, making a claim and us deciding to renovate the whole bathroom. For those of you who don't know us in real life, our bathroom is unusually large, but was not well designed. There are two 6' vanities, a walk in shower, but only a standard size tub and of course, the toilet. There was a lot of wasted space and we figured this was a great way to add value to the house.

Boy were we wrong.

Five months later, and we may be done by this weekend. What a nightmare. Our contractor sucked and had no control over his sub-contractors.

The only pleasurable experience we did have was with the ordering of our fixtures. I searched and searched and finally found nice Kohler Faucets on Faucet.com. Larry and I loved the faucets we chose for the bathroom vessel sinks. Unfortunately, when the subcontractor went to install them, they didn't fit with the sinks. I contacted Faucet.com and even though it was outside of the return time, they worked with me and let me return them anyway. I was pleasantly surprised by their great customer service.

This post is sponsored, however, the story is true.
