Biting off More than You Can Chew

Quite often when you mention the word, loans, most people have stories to tell about borrowing money for things they think they "need" but can't afford. Our experience involves a kitchen. A couple of years ago, Larry and I took out an equity line of credit against our mortgage to pay off a credit card and renovate our kitchen. We had a great experience as far as the renovation went. The whole project from start to finish took about one month. After suffering through five months of a bathroom remodel this year, I now know that one month is unheard of and a great job.

Unfortunately, we are now in the process of paying for our kitchen. We probably should have done more research on cheap loans, but we went with what we knew. I do love my bathroom, though.
